We are delighted to announce that as of June The Avenues Youth Project will become an accredited London Living Wage employer.
This means that we as an orgranisation commit to meeting or exceeding the London Living Wage for all staff aged over 18, and this year that wage is set at £11.95 an hour.
There is a significant difference between this rate and the government’s national living wage of £9.50 an hour (previously known as national minimum wage).
This is not not only the right thing to do and in line with our club values, but we hope this strengthens our reputation at The Avenues as a socially responsible employer.
