Introducing Early Entrepreneurs, our new and innovative project designed to engage young people at a vulnerable transition age, inspiring them to explore entrepreneurial activities, resulting in a collaborative, rewarding and enjoyable programme.
Designed in 2 stages, phase one will consist of establishing a pizza pop-up social enterprise on at The Avenues Youth Project and Phase 2 (Jan – July ’24) will expand to the inclusion of other entrepreneurial activities such as content creation, barbering and braiding. For those not interested in business, we will introduce the innovative new sport Teqball to The Avenues.
Already well-established, Secondary Zone takes young people at the crucial transition stage of 11-14 yrs and provides them with meaningful and engaging after-school activities. This will meet a community need for young people at this age to have a safe space to go directly after school – a time when a lack of things to do can lead to exposure to malign influence. The pizza pop-up will also act as a community action project, giving locals to access affordable food.
Early Entrepreneurs will be delivered every weekday from 15:30 in The Avenues Youth Project by our team of expert empathetic youth workers.
Early Entrepreneurs will be funded by the Innovation Fund.
